Laguna Golf Lang Co’s famous family of water buffalo greenskeepers has been bolstered by the birth of Lulu, a new baby daughter.
The bovine brood — father Tu Phat, mother Chi Chi, their eldest calf Bao and recent arrivals Luna and now Lulu — sprang to prominence last year as media around the world learned about their roles as “bio-mowers” on the spectacular Sir Nick Faldo Signature Design track.
The family, famous for tending to the rice paddies on the top-rated golf course, will now have extra help as they manage the seven-hectares of fields located right in the middle of the layout.
“Lulu is a lovable character and our guests love watching her and the rest of the family graze alongside the 3rd and 4th holes” said Adam Calver, Director of Golf at Laguna Golf Lang Co.
