Bentley’s most focused performance machine has arrived, and although the nameplate drops the familiar “Continental” tag, the new Supersports wears its lineage with pride. Based on the fourth-generation Continental GT introduced in 2024, the 2026 Supersports reimagines Bentley’s grand-touring flagship as a leaner, more visceral expression of speed, craftsmanship, and driver engagement.
From the outset, Bentley’s brief for the Supersports was singular: reduce weight and sharpen handling without abandoning the luxury that defines the brand. The result is a two-door coupé that sits below the two-tonne mark—an impressive achievement considering the Continental GT Speed, its closest sibling, tips the scales at 2,459 kg. This effort reflects Bentley’s mission to build the most driver-focused Continental GT yet, following in the footsteps of the Supersports editions of 2009 and 2017.

To deliver this vision, Bentley made bold engineering decisions. The Supersports abandons front driveshafts and any form of powertrain electrification, a rarity in an industry rapidly moving toward hybridisation. At its core remains the marque’s acclaimed 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, tuned to produce a commanding 666 PS and 800 Nm of torque. Paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission sending power exclusively to the rear wheels, the Supersports launches from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and charges toward a top speed of approximately 310 km/h. It is unmistakably a driver’s car—pure, unfiltered, and unapologetically mechanical.

A suite of chassis enhancements ensures the Supersports delivers more than straight-line excitement. An electronically controlled limited-slip differential works in harmony with brake-based torque vectoring, while a 16-mm wider rear track adds stability and composure. Rear-wheel steering continues from the standard GT but receives bespoke tuning, as do the steering, suspension, traction control, and ESC systems. Every calibration has been rethought for sharper responses and greater agility.

The exterior makes the Supersports’ intentions clear. Aerodynamics and lightweight materials play starring roles, beginning with a redesigned front bumper that incorporates the largest splitter ever fitted to a road-going Bentley. Carbon-fibre dive planes, side sills, fender blades, and a rear diffuser join forces to generate 300 kg more downforce than the Continental GT Speed. The carbon-fibre roof further lowers the centre of gravity for enhanced handling, while also contributing to the weight-reduction mission.

Bentley partnered with Manthey Racing to develop a striking set of 22-inch forged alloy wheels, which can be paired with Pirelli Trofeo RS tyres capable of delivering up to 1.3 g of lateral grip. Stopping power comes from carbon-ceramic brakes, and a titanium Akrapovič full-length exhaust system completes the performance package, giving the Supersports a more aggressive voice befitting its dynamic character.
Inside, the transformation is equally dramatic. The Continental GT’s traditional rear seats have been removed, replaced with a carbon-fibre and leather rear shell that visually underscores the car’s purposeful nature. The two front seats are more heavily bolstered and set lower than in the standard model, creating a cockpit that envelops the driver. Customers can choose from monotone, duo-tone, or tri-tone interior configurations, with materials ranging from rich leather to Dinamica and exposed carbon-fibre. As always, Bentley ensures every surface feels meticulously crafted and unmistakably bespoke.
For Bentley, the Supersports marks more than the return of a name; it signals a renewed commitment to building extreme, highly engaging driver’s cars. “The new Supersports is more than just the most driver-focused Bentley yet,” said Bentley chairman and CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser. “It signifies a return to Bentley making more extreme cars—ones that combine extraordinary breadth of ability with true driver engagement, while remaining pieces of automotive artwork unique and bespoke to each customer.”
Production of the 2026 Bentley Supersports will be limited to just 500 numbered units, ensuring exclusivity for collectors and performance enthusiasts alike. Order books open in March 2026, with production scheduled to begin in the final quarter of the year. For those lucky enough to secure one, the Supersports promises to deliver Bentley luxury with an edge sharper than ever before—a grand tourer distilled to its purest, most exhilarating form.
